AWARDEE POLICY
Policy on the search for Outstanding NORSU Awardees

I. NOMINATION

1. Any alumnus/alumna of Central Visayas Polytechnic College (CVPC) System may be nominated for the award.

2. Anyone from the Alumni organization or the CVPC academic and/or technology community may submit a nomination with an accomplished curriculum vitae and such nomination shall be coursed through the office of CVPC Alumni Affairs.

3. All nominations shall have the official endorsement of the Screening Committee to the Special Selection Committee.

4. Only nominees who satisfy fully the prescribed criteria should be endorsed.

5. Requirements shall be forwarded to the Nomination and Screening Committee through the office of the CVPC Alumni Affairs on or before August 30 of the current year.

II. SELECTION

1. The Nomination and Screening Committee composed of seven (7) members of the Executive Committee of the Alumni Association and two members of the Administrative Council designated by the President of the College shall meet to consider the nominations and see if they are in order. Should the committee deem it necessary and proper, nominations may be referred to persons (supervisors or employers) or institutions (companies or agencies) which can provide an objective view of the nominees' qualifications.

2. Once the referred results are in order all nominations shall be endorsed to the Special Selection Committee for screening not later than September 15 of the current year. This committee shall-be composed of 10 members as follows:

One (1) Executive Dean - CVPC Guihulngan

One(l) Executive Dean - CVPC Bais

Eight (8) Alumni Board of Directors.

The Alumni President will chair the Special Selection Committee. The director of the office of the Alumni Affairs shall sit as Ex-Officio member.

3. The Special Selection committee will finally submit the endorsed documents to the Final Review Committee composed of the College President, the Vice Presidents, President of the Federation of Student Government, the CPTA President, and the eight members of the Alumni Executive Board not later than September 30 of the current year. The College President will chair the Final review Committee.

The Final nominees will be confirmed by the Board of Trustees. The awarding ceremony will be held during the Founders' Day in a Special Convocation.

CRITERIA

Category A Excellent and distinguished performance in the field of speciali z ation or area of responsibility. Indicators: Signific a nt output in terms of technology, proj e cts, products, professional or civic activities engaged in.

Category B (Special Criteria) Alumni of NOTS or EVSAT who fin is hed a t e r m inal course and did not pursue a col lege degree but have excelled in their area of speciali z ation.

Indicators: Significant output in terms of projects, products, community services, and/or civic activities.

Consistent and courageous in the pursuit of knowledge, technological and technical skills, marked by strong moral character personally committed to what is good, right and just.

Indicators: Honesty , integrity, and justness and sincerity in relationships, responsibilities, accountabilities to self and others.

Exemplary in lifestyle and conduct in public and private life and in his relationship with family, friends, colleagues and the general public.

Indicators: Propriety, decency and decorum in conduct , other directed quality of life and service , altruistic or philanthropic services.
